in greyscales continued focus on evolving and expanding the experience of the label, we have some exciting news to share with you. we are launching a new series on greyscale - the spectrum series! this premier outlet will be dedicated to the most special and colorful projects, stepping away from our usual black and white visuals. for the first project, we dug in the vaults and chose to put out a legendary lithuanian dub track - >kasdienybes sventykla< by grad_u & eazystyle mc. it was recorded back in 2009 which means we are celebrating its 15 year anniversary! back in 2011 we recorded an english version and released it as a double cd that came with a string of memorable remixes. now, and for the first time on vinyl and in the true roots of dub, released on a special 10 inch record. but thats not all! each new spectrum release will include a full cover print with specially created artwork.

damon wild and david sumner (aka functions) relationship dates back to 1991 at lord michaels future shock, limelight, new york city when damon was running experimental records via northcott productions. at the time, he first saw something in dave and added him to brand x, a record pool run by moneypenny. but their bond is based around a period 5 years later when dave had an apartment above rogue music at 251 west 30th street in midtown, manhattan. it was during this time damon developed him as a synewave artist and released his first ep as function in the fall of 1996 catalog number, sw-24. falling in and out of touch over the years, across continents, the two have somehow remained on the same cosmic path. so its not a coincidence that now damon has turned to dave to release his first album in 13 years, during the time he is reissuing that first synewave ep on recompiled i/ii & ii/ii (a-ton lp02/03). this is where those paths cross again 21 years later, this fall, dave will release cosmic path on infrastructure. the cosmic connection.

stepping in from the cold, martin sander dons his hypnobirds alias for the first time since wreaking desolation alongside fellow swedish experimentalist, varg. more recently, he and michel isorinne paid tribute to the stockholm-based studio, bandhagen airport, upping the emotional content for a deeply personal record. now flying solo, another poignantly-charged release arrives hot on its heels as sander makes up for lost time following close to three years spent dormant.

radioactive miami bass experiments - slime-coated dubby techno - nervous electro - and beautifully melodic, selectively not-ambient electronica. the second record on nascent san francisco label left hand path comes from bay area artist c.l.a.w.s. who offers up four cuts that chart a pathway through techno s outer reaches, a perfect platter for the intrepid at-home listener and essential fodder for the adventurous dj.
comes complete with full colour artwork sleeve and handmade paper insert designed by the artist.

the young nordic label is back at it with a sturdy 12” vinyl release, produced by the helsinki underground electronic music champion poly sone. the three tracker kicks off with an intro track titled “come find me” which combines stripped down rhythm patterns with a subtle choir pad. on top of the foundation, an entrancing spoken word verse works as the main ingredient throughout the track. as the needle pushes onwards to the title track “echolocate”, the listener is confronted with a robust wall of lowend, soon accompanied by rolling percussions and clever use of reverb and delay. the simple composition highlights its sterling production and makes for a highly useful dancefloor tool. the last track “helix” bundles up the record nicely as the most melodic one of the bunch. the agile synth stabs and dystopic pads operate on a surprisingly groovy soil of bass and drums which add up to a dreamy whole.

for the record this modern trend of wiping is collective madness. i never apply any man-made materials to my anus. a permanent layer of fecal matter is perfectly natural and healthy!

180g vinyl! the summer of 2008, the echo inspectors are touring germany. one of their stops lands them in koln, after getting their fix of record shopping at kompakt they would meet up at a local bar with pawas who just remixed their latest record. joining the guys for a mid afternoon beer would be local producer and friend of pawas, adam kroll. fast forward to 2020 and adam would reappear on the radar as adam k.roll with a fresh new dub sound, completely different to the minimal techno records of the mid 2000s. this fresh take on dub would capture the interest of the echo inspectors. many dms later would lead to adam producing five fresh tunes for primary colours. trying to describe adams music is not easy. adam seamlessly blends the sounds of dub techno, ambience, electronica, jamaican dub and an infusion of summer island sounds. primary colours has the honour of re-releasing one of their favourite adam k.roll tunes, into the ocean, initially released digitally on adams on bandcamp page, into the ocean has been reborn on wax. we loved it so much that we got the echo inspectors to remix it into a formidable dub techno groover. kick back, sip on a fine whiskey, light a little number and immerse your aural senses to the sounds of the final call.
